Yep I was the guy with the shovel and the lawn mower and the ads on Craigslist making maybe $100 a week, and I got on my knees and I said God I need you and now I work for a trucking company slaving every week making five digits.
Damn man this hit hard i know the feeling, worked hard and got passed up on so many opportunities to move up and im feeling like I hit the wall and cant move up working for someone else so im taking the opportunity and going and starting my own landscaping business

I am old and my working life is almost over. I just wish I would have been as brave as you when I still had career time in me. At 56 years old now I am that guy that you talked about 10 years doing the same thing but I am even worse 30 years doing same thing. I still have desire to change but not the gumption 🙂 Thank you for this video as it feels great to see what I could have done! Keep on keeping on my brother!

AWESOME! I come to these channels to learn more everyday. Pride is a motherfucker. So here is a quick breakdown for me. Maybe someone reads it, maybe not. After I was 44 years old and a straight up junkie. I mean the junkie that we all know. Track marks not just up and down my arms but all over my body. And after 22 years in prisons I came out for the last time when I was 44. I’m now 50 and in the past 4 plus years I started my landscaping business (with not even a shovel) I borrowed my first customers rake and shovel and I did a job that (now I know to be $1500 but I did it for $500) since then I busted my ass with a homemade trailer and a trailer hit hitch in an suv to a full size pick up truck $20k in tools and 100k a summer and 2 employees. It’s not even June yet and I have jobs GALORE in multimillion dollar neighborhoods and I’m set to break 150k this summer. It all started with getting sober and swallowing my pride. I didn’t even need a fucking shovel as crazy as that may sound. I just made a decision to stop feeling sorry for myself and I learned that no one gives a fuck about me other than me. I was my own worst critic. This may perhaps be one of the easiest businesses to start if you are willing to work hard.
