Acorn's is for the super lazy and willing to pay others to do the work. Acorns most aggressive portfolio underperforms the S&P 500 by 2-3% per year. The Acorn users could just use Fidelity and invest into FNILX in a Roth IRA, and IVV if they have anything extra after maximizing out their Roth IRA. They would outperform the Acorn's most aggressive portfolio by 2-3% and cost less in account fees and expense ratio.
