Agree – I now have one debit card. Use it to take out cash weekly and then the goal is that's it. I'm also tracking what I spend to keep myself accountable.

I try to keep that in mind.
It's weird; I don't try to save money. I just have extra money all the time. I don't spend that extra money for a long time. It just piles up, until I actually have to spend it on something. The key is make more money than what you spend monthly. It's easy for me, since I don't have no rent or mortgage or any kind of debt. I don't do any kind of substance abuse, I don't have a car note and it's just me. I grow a lot of my food, but still spend from $40-$76 a week on food items. In January I end up having $1,966.93 left after spending my wages on bills and essentials. In February I have $2,084.98 left after my wages on bills and essentials. So in two months I already saved up $4,051.91. I have 9 projects to fulfilled this year, so the savings or what I call extra money goes onto those 9 projects for this following year. I budget my money really well and also be realistic with my money I earn each year. It all goes on something, so money comes and money goes.
Starting my savings challenge today 10K this day next year. See yall in 365 days. Currently I’m at 850$ saved.
Very LOW INCOME the highest I have never saved was $5000 and that dropped after I bought my home back in 2016, I always had a savings account but the wasn't nothing, so I guess maybe 2 years ago I turned it in to a high yield savings account, and now I'm getting more interest on my money, I am trying to build it up back up but something is always happening where that I have to go into it.
Do like the Mexicans do live together and all y'all runn up a bag simple, being individual and independent was the biggest scam that help drive black folks apart ? Remember family is everything and we have to figure out how all the able people who can work take on bills together and everyone has a bag within 6 months to a year that's all simple math!
I started out saving 25.00 a week in 2025. I kept doing that until it hit 1000.00 then I raised it to 30. I’ve now saved nearly 2000.00. It take a lot of discipline but don’t touch those savings. After a while you don’t even think about touching it you just keep letting it build up.

I started this journey on January 2025 I was -1300 in debt living paycheck to paycheck and personal loans from family members now i got rid of undeed subscriptions and outside dining and instead meal prep, got rid of two gym memberships and stick to one i love most, etc now im upside with $633 monthly bills. Working to be a web developer to further save and invest is my next move this year
Saving money is useful and practical for sure. Valuecom is a good place to save money, there are really good bargains here. That will helps your budget and you'll be able to buy other items out there. Shopping here means that you will be able to regulate your budgets and lifestyle choices. I have a few incomes but one that saved me was decluttering my home. Tons of items ive listed on ebay and sold for whatever it was. So much stuff and clutter that was never needed helped me extremely save money even though at some point ive spent on that item.

I have a credit card with the limit of $500 I use it to pay bills should I just not use it and pay it with out the credit card? Would that help a bit?
