Thank you for this. It has been difficult to find accurate information about Outlier through Google. This helped a lot
Currently in kenya can i get account
No he entendido como funciona honestamente.
Hello , excuse I want to know when will it be transferred to my airtm account? Will I actually get the money and do I still have to wait for something? Waiting for someone to confirm the job or just waiting for the money to arrive?
Well, that is just what I wanted to hear. Wasn't expecting to become an AI billionaire, I'm happy to work flexible hours for reasonable pay.
Is it safe? Cause i think they ask to much about personal information
Payment
Just had my worst experience. It asks me to do a expertise screening, after checking my mic and camera in there, and when I'm ready for the screening, it shows that I did not pass the screening💀bro I didn't even start it. And that's not even the worst experience; I tried the support button on the bottom left, you know what it says?
"I understand that you're seeking help from an agent (my name), but after looking at previous work you submitted, we found it fell short of our customers’ requirements, which is why you can no longer see tasks on your dashboard. This decision is final and appeals are not possible.
This does not affect any pending payments, which will be processed as usual in the next pay cycle.

The thing is that I have just created my account today and HAVE NOT been assigned with ANY work! 😂and who said that ai is not smart enough to intentionally lie? Cuz clearly Outlier could🎉🎉🎉
I joined Outlier about 2 weeks ago…did the video and written test, passed both…I did the Cypher learning modules, and afterwards they assigned me 2 tasks, which I did. The tasks are payed at a "very lower rate" since they are part of the learning process…did both of them and am supposed to be paid aprox USD3. After that no more tasks have appeared. There's some faults in the way the system works…In both tasks, it indicated a "prompt" defining the language and ways to evaluate 2 comparative answers to that prompt. In my case, both excersises say: Language: "Spanish". But afterwards gives you directions in english. One tasks was: Give me a list of the best movies and most awarded movies in the Oscars between 2011 – 2019, in 2 colums, and separating them with bullets. And there are two answers to the tasks to evaluate. The problem is, for example: Some of the movies are with the title in english, others in spanish. Being a Title of a movie, in some cases in latin american countries, they mantain the original english title….so, it is not clear if I should indicate a negative issue on that. The other problem I had was that googling the movies and awards per year, both answers didnt coincide with the years, they were displaced by a year. The last part of the task indicated: Correct the task…but it wouldn't let me change the years. So it was a Hassle, that took me about an hour!….Outlier might be legit, I'm not sure yet. At this moment I'm not really very convinced….No other tasks have appeared during the last 5 days, and many people in the Outlier Community have this same issue. Outlier indicates to be very demanding and accurate in its requests, which is understandable, but they have to give the best example outlining and indicating all aspects of the tasks so as to permit doing the job well also, since these not clear aspects could impact your performance.
My son who is 24 is doing tasks in Outlier, and has made a bit of money on it doing simple tasks. I'm willing to try it since my actual job is freelance and has its ups and downs, and gives me free time, so it would be a way to complement my income – considering to dedicate it about 15 hrs per week, I'd be aiming at average USD 900/month. Great video, because I joined Outlier and uploaded my Resume, passed the acreditation after writting and talking on video…but then got caught up with the Cypher class, and at first finding it quite confusing and therefore am afraid to not perform well and get poor qualifications. Your video motivated me to keep on it, and I hope to start actively doing some Tasks. Great Video. Thanks!
Just back on here to thank you for being amazing! You prepared more than I needed. I've reached the $1000+ /m and I live in South Africa
Doesn't work in my region
How I m interested
It's like you are opening a short term income source to eventually get rid of any income source for future since you are training an AI to do what you can do. It's a recipe for disaster!!
Thank you! I am a French (France) AI Trainer with Outlier, and I’m extremely satisfied with optimizing AI model outputs for French-speaking users as well as the $$$ or €€€ 😊 Let me know if anyone needs a referral. Thank you for your video, and I hope my comment helps the algorithm to bring more of your content to the world. Salut !
eventually you will find out that the time you spent not worth the $ you are getting. if you made a "mistake" you will be banned forever by them.
Don't bother with this. They pay, but just getting accepted is a large time investment, especially when you have to read all instructions. I've only done well enough to get paid once in a year of trying the platform by checking weekly because I don't consistently get the notifications I've signed up to receive.
Total BS and waate of time. Pay $7.5/hour in my country while could be 35 somewhere else. It’s way cheaper than my internet bill
I’d be happy to do it probably if I didn’t finish elementary school.
i dont understand how to do missions, can anyone help
I was working at remotask before they moved to outlier the problem is I made an account with them unknowingly. This messed because it’s now 2 accounts.
why is not available in my country
I've been with them for about four months now. While I wouldn't recommend it as a viable source of income it is nice for a little side money. You probably won't be making thousands unless you're very good at what they "want" you to do and putting in 8+ hour days, but a hundred here and there every week is nice. Getting into projects can be difficult and what makes dealing with them super frustrating is when you finally get put on a project that you click with only to be taken off of it a week or two later because the project is no longer available, or they completed what they needed and are moving onto the next phase.
I recently completed several tasks with Outlier. However, after two weeks, I did not receive the payment, and my account was unexpectedly suspended. When I contacted Outlier support, I was told that my account could not be reactivated, leaving my time and efforts unrewarded and the payment still pending.
How much did they pay you to do this video?
If you can get into top tier, it is pretty much like IT contractor job pay.
Have worked with Outlier in conjunction with Remotasks and have been paying my bills all through with Outlier. The empty dashboard normally comes if the project you were handling came to an end or maybe if did your test and did not pass. It's a good platform to earn good cash to train AI chat models.
My main concern is that it is used for training generative AI's. As freelance illustrator, if you're aware of how generative AI spits on the majority of artist's faces by being trained with our work without any consent or compensation, you know it goes against my principles to train these machines.
I have been with Outlier 4 months. I have made $1000usd. After a month I decided to take some online classes on designing prompts. I also found some apps that create ideas and constraints. Some positions can be fun , some can be really hard. I am homless and having some extra cash is wonderful.
Outlier is legit. It's very dependent on your performance. The reputation you garner through your work moves you further up. Onboarding was a nightmare with little to no communication, took me almost a month, and it takes time to get yourself in and on a consistent project. Training is also loose and rules on projects are constantly changing. If you fail assessments you get booted from the project with little chance to retry the assessments.
Outlier is an absolute sham. The onboarding process is drawn out, tedious, repetitive, and a complete waste of time. They complicate it more than it needs to be.
Don't waste your time with this company and its process. It's certainly not worth the time put into it.
There are no "jobs" on Outlier. You are paid by Outlier to train AI models for their customers. It is a grind. Instead of making a video about what is easily searched on Google, why not sign up for it and see how it works ? It's a messy, messy business.
I saw an ad on Facebook needing Portuguese translators for AI training, I didn't see anyone talking about whether they make money or not .
Tried desperately to sign up, couldnt get help with an error related to verifying my identity (used my driver's license as an American), repeatedly contacted support for a month and gave up. Suddenly one day i was sent a link to join the platform. I have no idea whats happening…
I recently got selected for our AI training in our native Language writting ..any body can shed light on the nature of job. Some clarity missing. In which area should I equip myself with.
It's absolutely legit and their support has gotten much better lately, offering to help if you find yourself without tasks or EQ (empty queue). They'll hook you up!
Too much documentation
I was contacted by Outlier’s recruiter on LinkedIn and doing the onboarding process in these days. For now it seems interesting opportunity and I am learning things from different prospective. I already work with the language, so I am enjoying studying and doing tasks. But I read a lot of good and also bad reviews. So, I will see.
I used it for about 7 months. Outlier is extremely unorganized and they will kick you off of a project for a mistake that they made. Yes for their mistake, not yours. I highly suggest not using them.
Thank you. I am Vietnamese and currently have a job at Outlier. I am concerned about the safety of this job. After watching your video, I felt very happy and received positive insights. Thank you very much for sharing this in your video.
Pay rate is too low for south Americans and there's no constant projects to work on. By the way, from my experience that's just an exhaustive side job you could work if you really need some income
