As an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top-level investors can become millionaires through investing. I have a significant amount of capital to start with, but I'm unsure about the strategies and direction I should take to help me generate substantial profits like some people are this season.
Helpful for the SIE exam.
This is video is biased against mutual funds anything managed by professionals and certified financial analysts can not suck, unless you don't understand what active management is about. Why would Mutual Funds still exist if they suck? ETFs means the individual spending their time on investing and analyzing markets conditions-how many people can accurately do it? Index Funds are good but what is the index is underperforming…? There is a reason why you traders on stock markets, not so?
So just to clarify, ETFs don't pay dividends?
ETF is my investment 👍
I invested in vanguard s&p 500 index funds, bonds fund and REITs, Tho i'm still worried about assets allocation in my 6 figure portfolio. Any tips for improving portfolio performance?
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
Can someone explain to me why anyone would buy a mutual fund? Even if they mirror the returns of an index, you still get eaten alive by the fee
Thank you so much Humphrey for making this video. Timely delivery as a new ETF gets listed in my county's stock market.
I Hit $48,127 today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last week . I started with 5k last week now I just hit $48,127…
With everything going on in 2025—rate cuts looming, tech volatility, inflation still biting—it’s getting harder to know where to park $250K safely. I keep hearing different takes on index funds, ETFs, and mutuals. They sound similar but I know there’s nuance.
@humphrey, Dave Ramsey recommends investing in mutual funds for retirement…what are your thoughts on that?
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. AI stocks that have the potential to power and transform future technologies. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies. Maybe there are other recommendations?
I have been trying to grow my savings and i wonder which is better the stock market or index funds, i keep seeing a lot of good news about the stock market but i am not familiar with the strategy. Any recommendation will be highly appreciated
Being in the Meera Grayson server and starting trading is literally changing my life. I started with a small $4,700 account but I got it up to $19,370 in one week! Not a lot of money but that's a big growth for me.🎉🎉
I never thought I’d enjoy learning about finance until I found Caren Janelle Jacobs. Her tips are easy to apply and make a real difference.
One of the biggest differences in Index funds vs ETFs is the tax efficiency of ETFs.
Thank you 🙏
What is the best strategy to enter crypto trading now for someone with more or less than $28k?
Thoughts on VYMI?
I started my trading journey last year with expert Charlotte Olive and I have made a net profit of around $510k by just following her strategies.
This man said warren invested .00000000000001 % that mutual funds were worst than etfs.
Hey all, beware the comment threads that end in someone recommending you look up a certain financial advisor. They're all bot-driven scams, and they're all over financial advice videos. Similar ones are on relationship-advice videos.
what about target date funds? can you compare it to the other options for a roth IRA
Thanks for the explanations.
Great breakdown! This really helped me understand the key differences between index funds, ETFs, and mutual funds. Now I feel more confident picking the right option for my investing style. Thanks! 🙌📊
Investing in mutual funds offers a structured and diversified approach to building wealth, managed by professional fund managers. While there are costs and some limitations, the benefits of diversification, professional management, and ease of access make mutual funds a popular choice for achieving a variety of financial goals.

Great explanation. The Dave Ramsey types are really leading people down a bad path advocating for mutual funds.
I’ve been investing in index funds for a few years, but honestly, I’ve made some painful mistakes. I pulled out during the 2022 dip thinking I was protecting my money The market bounced back, and I missed it . I lost thousands and learned the hard way that emotions can ruin a solid strategy.

Buying of ETFs is easy, but buying the right one without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence which is best to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies… I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
THANKS FOR THE EXPLANATION
robinhood is the worst thing iv ever got myself into. If youre seeings this. DO NOT GO ROBINHOOD. Deceptive practices and cash grabbng everywhere. They withhold your sales.
I think this video is a little misleading. What he is saying is correct however mutual funds can be both actively managed or index tracking. The same goes with ETF’s. Compare mutual funds and ETF’s and then ask what management style they follow (active or index)
