Does all of this ETFs are good for long term investments?
Great video. Just curious, do you recommend Canadians only hold Canadian ETFs in their registered accounts? If not what percentage do you recommend they hold vehicles that track the US markets such as VOO.
would you suggest high dividend Covered calls for short term in fhsa like zwc?
Do you have to pay taxes on DRIPs in a Non-Reg account? Do you have any advice for investing in non reg accounts? Thanks for all your help!!
You deserve 100x more followers!
I have 40% of my portfolio in XEQT. I am looking to put 20% into XEI. I am a beginner in investing can you let me know is this a good idea to put into XEI?( especially at this time) I am keeping 40% in income portfolio as I might need cash in short term. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I started investing by watching your videos and also used your promo codes.
QQ – i'm investing 50k CAD into TFSA, what ETF/STocks mix would you recommend? ofc no legal obligation just need your pov.
Thanks!
What do u think about owning both xeqt and xic because of the overlap? Would it be better to focus more xeqt and focus less on canada? I was also gonna do TD stock and maybe vre aswell as tech. Thx
What are your thoughts on Qtrade?
What do you think of STRC? Pays 10.75% dividend monthly. Designed to keep the stock price stable at $100 US approximately. I hold it in my RRSP.
I have an issue. The mkts make no sense based on traditional economic caveats. To me, it illustrates a certain level of manipulation combined with an illusion.
The political environment simply makes it impossible to assume 5 year growth.
Canada is very vulnerable.
The world econ is fragile.
I have no suggestions. One tear gic’s. Gold. Who knows.
Im withdrawing from the mkts. Not playing the mkts. Will sit in money mkts and/ or gic’s.
Less interested in growth and more concerned about what seems like inevitable loss.
Why do you use a service like questrade? If I am with BMO, can't I buy all that from them? What is the advantages?
In my TFSA in buying VFV VEQT is that okay? Now I’m looking for dividend to add

Hi Adrian, I love your channel and thank you for teaching me so much about investing! I have a quick question for you… I like your TFSA investment strategy of focusing on Canadian high dividend stocks and ETFs with low management fees that minimize tax drag, however I'm curious your opinion on including growth stocks / ETFs in your TFSA. On the one hand, holding growth stocks that are US or international will be subject to withholding taxes, but on the other hand, the TFSA negates the capital gain tax which can often be higher than dividend tax. Any particular reason why you don't include foreign stocks / ETFs focused on growth? Is it simply to minimize tax drag and build passive income with less risk? From what I've read, dividend heavy strategies are more popular for people closer to retirement age or on a fixed income. Thanks again!
Checking my ETF performance daily on uSMART SG.
Can you buy these etf’s from the individual cash account ? If not which do you use. My TFSA and rrsp are maxed out
Could one only invest in one ETF like XIC, or should you buy many different ETFs. I suppose risk tolerance comes into play as well?
Investing in Indonesia has significant potential for profit, especially if you choose the right investment instruments and understand the associated risks. Some popular investment options in Indonesia include stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and property. What investment options are you interested in?
You are way too excited about this shitty ETF divined rates. If one can't earn an least twice, preferable three times the rate of inflation, just spend your money on a new something and enjoy it now. otherwise you will be only be able to buy about the same thing in ten years from now. after your investment barely keeps up with inflation.
It would be easier to drip on Questrade with fractional shares like on Wealthsimple!
Can you explain why you need to invest a certain amount of money to qualify for DRIP?
how do i open brokerage account
Fun fact. RBC and td. Are my two choice banks.
Koho afterwards for a virtual since paypal feels obsolete.
Working on some goals.
Bank5m then make 5m double ten. Empire 20+
Vfv and vdy is it a good combo? Newbie here thanks
But QT and WS has fractional shares, no need to calculate DRIP…
Hmax, zwb, bnc ,hdiv….here…..instead of questtrade ….ibkr.. what do you think?
Why not US S&P 500
Wealthsimple let's your reinvest the dividends automatically with fractional shares.
LOL what passive income are you going to get with only 2.26% yield? It will take forever to gain anything. Not all high yield etfs lose value. You make up for it with the amount you get back every month. Know any high yield etfs?
Whoa, this is spot on! 🤩 I’ve been searching for exactly this thank you! ☺️ 🙌
I am new to investing. I am still struggling to understand the difference between ETFs, Bonds, Stocks, and Index funds
The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $52k dividends received in 2024
I’m interested in investing but have no idea where to start. Please any suggestions or someone I could reach out to?
I live in Canada but I invest in Brazil over there the dividends goes around 10% and companies grow also I invest 2k and i expect get 3 k monthly or even more for sure in 5 years need a retire I’m not see this opportunity too fast here or us
XEI is now iShares
This DRIP qualification only applies to QuestTrade since you can't buy fractional shares yet is that correct?
After a bunch of research, I think it's better to go with growh-oriented ETFs like VFV/XEQT. Yes, it has withholding fees for the div portion but it's tiny and has way bigger growth than Dividend ETFs and you can withdraw yourself the amount you want later (like a manual Dividend) while seeing much larger growth than as if you had a Dividend ETF for 10-15 years.
Thanks so much Adrian!! I’m new to your channel & newbie investor. Love your straightforward clear & concise captions. I’ll sign up Questrade TFSA now with your promo code now. Thank you!
Happy successful investing ! 🤩
Such a good resource.
Canadian only, no US exposure? Yikes.
What is ETF? 0:33
I am a beginner. I have 3000 to invest and wanna put 500 each month. I am planning to invest on VFV, XEQT, XIC. Is it okay? Do you suggest anything else?
Thanks for this video! Is it better to have these in RRSP or TFSA?
Nice and clear. Love your videos
RBC , TD , Enbridge
Hi there, I was wondering about the Canadian versions of US stocks like NVIDIA CDR, or APPLE CDR. Is it worth investing in those stocks? I use Wealth Simple and I don't want to pay the fee to buy US stocks. Thanks,
Im debating between zsp, qqc, xeqt, xei vs zsp, qqc, xic, xei. Whats your point of view?
