6:30 Wait, that's not quite right. Supposing you are in the money, theta reaches 1 at expiry, meaning actual leverage is around 10x. You actually multiply you capital by 4 given a two year return of 30%. Am I missing something?

Well, it took around 2.5 years for SPDR between 30th of April 2021 and 1st of Oct 2023 to go up and down again, so any calls for the next 2 years wouldn't be smart, but from that moment on, it went up all the way and it's being valued waaaaaay more for the last 2 years!

Aren't debit spreads better than just buying calls for this kind of strategy? I'd think the higher capital efficiency would make up for the loss of leverage.

Here is the deal with Leverage, that everyone needs to know and understand. It's risky, and it's powerful.
For instance, if you hopped in the Market on March 20th of 2020 and leveraged your account to the hilt… you flying high right now.
But had you did that on March 17th… you'd have a margin call on your hands, sold everything at a loss, and be wiped out.
The Dips ARE where the money is made, for sure… you need to have cash set aside to catch those dips. If you already leveraged, and NOW it goes down, you might not recover.

I did something a little different. I bought 550 of nvidia in 2016 and held them this whole time. They’ve appreciated by 12500% and rising. And I will keep holding along with all my other etfs and stocks. I’m saving for retirement not trying to make a quick buck.
