Target date funds? Mutual funds? Not under any circumstances ever 💯
I’m not too knowledgeable on this but is this any good? I have VTI schd qqq on my Roth and Msty mstr schg in my brokerage
Hi Prof. G! Isn't it not possible to invest $12k annually in a ROTH? Aren't there limits?
Do you have to wait until retirement age to receive dividends in roth ira?
I have a self directed brokerage account for work, personal brokerage account and a roth ira. What would be the best strategy for my portfolio since I have 3 accounts. I know I have 2 brokerage accounts but one is through the company so it's not as easy to access money other than through a loan. Would love some advice and thank you ahead of time.
always love, love your lessons – honest, simple and Excellent guidance. I WISH I have found your channel earlier. I've been learning many products to invest and so confused by many Gurus. Eventually, I have come here. Thanks Prof G.
What yall think for these for a ROTH IRA? Looking for long term 8-15years
ARLP – Alliance Resource Partners L.P. 15%
JEPQ – JPMorgan Nasdaq Equity Premium Income ETF 15%
QYLD – Global X NASDAQ 100 Covered Call ETF 14%
JEPI – JPMorgan Equity Premium Income ETF 14%
SCHD – Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF 14%
TSLY – YieldMax TSLA Option Income Strategy ETF 14%
ULTY – YieldMax Ultra Option Income Strategy ETF 14%
or is it too much? i am looking for to build dividends portfolio or should i just invest by buying individual portfolio? I am using M1 Finance platform.
You cant put $12,000 a year into an IRA.
So far 50% voo 50% QQQ what you guys think ? And what should I add ?
What are the 3 best etf for roth ira for a person who is in their 50 's. Ty…. I'm late to know all this knowledge about investing.
I prefer low-cost stock ETFs in my Roth account…VTI only here; to balance out with bonds elsewhere in my portfolio, like my traditional IRA.
If this is a Roth and as you said, this money is touched last or passed on as a legacy, a Target Date fund is not ideal since it gets more conservative. More aggressive growth funds are more appropriate like S&P 500 (VOO) and NASDAQ (QQQM) Index ETFs. 😊❤
401k: S&P 500 heavy. IRA: SCHD, SCHX, SCHG — sounds like robot names, but they make money. at age 54 I'm still looking for the best strategies to increase my $340,000 into $1 million or more before I retire. I really need to tread carefully to avoid taking any significant losses.
Voo and brk.b here 🤞 I swap between those 2. Voo gave me really profits in a year and a half. Brkb took a good dip and I sold all VOO and bought brk.b. Hopefully brkb will go sky high and Voo takes a good dip so I swap again. I’m not trying to time the market. I’m not tripping. Retirement is looking great
Love tge portuguese rooster 🙂
This guy is an idiot.
Professor G.I in Canada which ETF .You recommend?
anyone know the flat fee for the consultation?
Best ETF in Roth are the ones whose dividends are taxed as ordinary income (non-qualified). SCHD dividends are qualified dividends. They should not be in Roth, should be in IRA, if you have one. Use money in Roth for higher tax and growth ETF. Discuss please.
Don't target date funds typically underperform though?
SCHD is by far my largest holding with my share count approaching 8000. I don't expect more than 5% growth going forward. S&P's historic return is closer to 9%. If SCHD matches that return we can assume 4% yield + 5% growth = 9%. We have been in an unprecedented bull cycle since SCHD's inception (13 1/2 years). It's not going to continue like that. We have been spoiled.
I'am 51 and have been investing the last 18 years and I still get nervous….when you are working with just a few hundred dollars a month and you have family that are depending on you to make the right choices that will effect them in the future. Time to light up a cigar and research!!! I've learned a lot form your video's and i'am thinking about building a ROTH IRA portfolio in my fidelity account but can't decide what funds to go with!!!
Investing in Roth IRA can be a good choice since they are funded with after tax dollars, your contributions can grow tax-free over time. When you withdraw money from your Roth IRA in retirement, you won’t have to pay tax on it, which will help you keep more of your hard-earned money. I retired with 5 million dollars
I just switched up my Roth IRA to 50% SCHD, 25% SCHX, 25% SCHG, and my Roth 401k is 70% vanguard S&P 500 index, 20% vanguard growth index, and 10% vanguard international index. Seeking best possible ways to grow $350k into $1m+ before retirement, I'm 55.
I use Paul Miriam’s 10 fund portfolio, but I reduce the international funds by two. I replace one with VT for some total market stability and it’s lean towards US or international based on who is winning, and the last is replaced with my bond element.
Currently in my Roth I have SVOL and SPYI for quick growth and re-invest until retirement day. I have 50% of my portfolio into DIV ETFs bringing in 9k a month. I pull all 401k/Roth from my company retirement account and move it to my CS accounts to have exposure to the DIV ETF every QTR.
Do you see any cracks in the DIV ETF investment strategy based on recent SCHD issues?
In my ROTH: SCHD 30%, VOO 30%, QQQM 30%, SMH 9%, FBTC 1%
What are you thoughts on SCHY Schwab,s international dividend fund😅
SCHG / SPMO
Love the podcast. I do NOT have a ROTH ira, only a traditional 401k.
So I'm learning a lot ❤
Amazing video and very informative. It was easier for me to get rich when i learnt the modus operandi of diversification investment portfolio. Spreading my investments across different asset classes to manage risk. I focused on capital appreciation through high-risk, high-reward assets. Income-oriented strategies target regular income from dividend stocks and bonds. Used the value strategy to seek out undervalued assets for potential long-term gains. Worked like a magic!
Appreciate how you broke this down so clearly! Long-term ETF picks like these are gold. I started with uSMART SG – used code 7gak for welcome gift (free Tesla stock + cash voucher)!
??? I have over 1500 share of SCHD in my Roth. If I have a $100,000 to invest, would you recommend putting it all in SCHD??
