I'm saving 92% of my salary. Both of my flats are bought for cash so no debt at all. No car – I mostly take public transportation. I don't eat out – cook home and I'm a vegetarian that eats one meal a day (that's all my body requires). I more or less free of compulsions and make a conscious choice every minute, before every purchase. I do buy occasional treats if I really want to (but it is rare when I really do want anything). I don't try to impress anyone and I'm very picky as to who do I hang out with (very few quality people). I don't allow anyone including my family to influence any decision I make.
All of that 94% saved money goes to buy Vanguard S&P 500 (VOO) and flexible bank deposits that pay 25% p.a. (I'm based outside US), and that I can withdraw at any point of time leaving a small minimum required balance.

It would be great if somebody could explain how to calculate budget for 1 person of 4 persons family. I truly don't know how to calculate food eaten, electricity consumed and t-shirts that are worn by 1+ family members. And it's definitely not take all expenses and divide by 4.

My BFFs buy things when they're sad! They always say they don't have money and 'only break even' every month, and it drives me CRAZY! If they just stopped doing that (and budgeted) like I tell them, they'd have SO much more money! I can guarantee it! But they don't listen, even though I've OFFERED to help SO many times, and it's SO frustrating! Meanwhile, I'm over here like a dragon with my money, as they affectionately call it! I virtually NEVER spend anything without needing to, besides video games, and even those, I ONLY buy on SUPER good sales (and EVEN THEN, haven't done that in months 'cause I'm trying to get through more of my backlog first)! I can not speak for most since I’m still living at home but I’m 19 in college with a side job and I’m using a strategy from riches man in Babylon where you divide it as 70/20/10 and it’s working awesome I have even pushed it stricter to 50/20/20 but working out a system like this for you’re personal life can help tremendously (70/20/10 means 70% on monthly expenses 20% on debt and 10% on investments)

Step 1: have a high income
On the conversation on video editing and paying an editor to 'buy back time'.
I this is very useful and practical advice. However, I have applied one twist on this idea to great effect.
When I encounter a new problem or opportunity, I first try and learn and do the thing myself. Ie fixing electrical in the house, installing facets, doing my taxes, etc etc
Once I understand and appreciate how the thing is done (and often what makes it challenging/time consuming) I will look to hire someone to do it. In my experience this gives me a much better perspective of what is actually worth paying for and helps me to weed people who will take advantage of your ignorance and over charge you.
*Of course a good measure of understanding of one's own limitations/constraints is necessary to apply this strategy.
